Tony gets to find out where Ziva got her friction burns. After he puts up with another episode of her showing him up. Two things Tony does well in this episode: spots the car and IDs the train sound. His experience shows in the way he cuts Ziva off before she can let out too much information.
Actually, I have to admit that this is an episode that does a very good job of using the skills of all the members of the team. Ziva gets into the locks, Tony recognizes the car and the sounds, Ducky checks out the victim's health, McGee unlocks the secrets of the hard drive, and Abby does everything else (the way she always does everything else).
Even though Ziva shows him up when they're trying to get into the car, I like the vignettes he tells about being a cop and breaking into cars regularly. Kids, druggies, old people, keys; there were reasons there that I'd never thought of that made me go "oh, yeah, I can see that."
I love when Abby says "yes ma'am" when Gibbs says "don't call me sir."
McGee violates one of Gibbs' cardinal rules: he's unreachable. Even Tony played football with his phone in his pocket. Gibbs himself shows up after Tony and Ziva
In order to raise the tension of the episode, they give the victim bad lungs. It's a better way to do it than just cutting to night.
I like this mystery. It's also interesting that what they start out investigating comes up with another mystery and in the end, they get them both. I especially like the way they showed the catching the bad guys scenes over rescuing the victim. Much better climax.
