Another one I like a lot, except for the very end, when Tony is whining. Third time Tony goes missing. First time Ziva goes missing.
They used an interesting method to take the cell phones out of the equation. After all, if they'd been able to track the two missing agents, there wouldn't've been any story.
The humorous subplot for this (at least between Tony and Ziva) is that she hasn't invited him over to dinner, although she has invited McGee and Palmer. Tony hasn't yet found a friendship with Jimmy (I understand that happens during Gibb's hiatus, but I don't remember it). For once, it's funny without being insulting to anyone.
During the shootout, despite all the flying bullets, the only ones that hit flesh are from Tony's gun. I can't tell how many he fired because I'm not that good at counting pings. Since he and Ziva still had ammo left when they ducked into the container, he couldn't have fired that many. Now, I like Tony, but I have a problem believing that under those conditions he would've been that good a shot.
Ziva doesn't want Tony to fire out the ventilation holes because it would be a waste of ammo (and she's right), but she's the one to fires at the door, when all that accomplishes is a ricochet.
I like the scene when Tony is discussing the movies and Ziva is all impatient with him because she doesn't see what that has to do with getting out. Ziva doesn't have a lot of patience sometimes. Tony, on the other hand, actually has a point, which proves he is thinking about their situation.
Tony never admits that he's scared. However, I have noticed that he tends to either get angry or make really bad jokes (worse than his usual bad jokes), depending on his level of control and authority. When Gibbs' is around or he's otherwise under orders, it's jokes. When he's in charge or alone, it's anger.
I think he hit a nerve he didn't think he was going to hit when he said "first time you realized Daddy wasn't perfect."
It's interesting that it goes from daytime to nighttime so quickly. I guess it's supposed to mean it took them awhile to do things.
Abby's showing her need for reassurance and emotional immaturity again. What happened to the great, tough, even somewhat callused Abby who told Tony he was like a piercing? I would like her back.
The first time I watched this I didn't pick up on the clues as to who the bad guy would turn out to be. That part of the mystery is very well done. What I thought was less well done was the way what they were actually looking for (before they dropped that subplot and spent all their time looking for Tony and Ziva) kept changing. It starts out weapons, becomes unstable gleaned ordnance and ends up the money that Tony any Ziva actually did find.
