But clearly that's not today.
SO. Knitters, a couple of questions for you:
1. Should I learn Continental or English style? Or both? If both, which one should I start with? I'm leaning towards Continental.
2. I figured out how to do a long-tail cast on, should I figure out other ways or am I safe just using that?
3. Do you have any very very very simple patterns of small projects that you can recommend that I could get some initial success under my belt? This I Taught Myself Knitting book has turned out to be terrible, so I can't trust the patterns they have in there, as they're all shawls and sweaters and shit.
ETA: Wait, I should have asked this first: I have like 6 inches hanging down from my initial cast-on because I started with way too much yarn. Can I just cut that off? Do I leave a little bit of tail hanging? Do I need to tie it or something? No one seems to say anything about that, and I'm confused.
