LESLIEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I LOVE HER SO MUCH. I MAY HAVE MENTIONED THIS. And I LOVE her relationship with Ron, and yes, that part at the end of "Galentine's Day" when he is SO PERCEPTIVE, I just ADORE that--it's such a beautifully-written moment. (Ron actually gets a couple of those fantastic moments where the writers articulate the characters PERFECTLY, in ways that manage to be perfectly unsurprising yet still somehow revealing at the same time. Which is one of the reasons I love the show so much, because the characterization is SO SOLID, and consistent without ever feeling stale.)

Also, FWIW, I love Andy and April TOGETHER--I love where April's careful disaffection meets Andy's complete openness, like in "Galentine's Day" where she chews out her gay boyfriend about why everything they do has to be cloaked in all these layers of irony, gah, GO APRIL. I also love April and Ron's relationship, and Ron and Andy are also great together, which is another thing I like about that show: the writers really know how to bounce the characters off each other to bring out interesting (and usually lovable) sides of them. HI I AM REALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW. I KNOW, I HIDE IT REALLY WELL.

Less meanness to Jerry (it's the only part of the show that makes me uncomfortable, especially when it bothers HIM)

ITA. I wish I could tell you it gets better, but it really doesn't, much. It gets a little better? Especially in the sense that it bothers him less. But yeah. It's a weird thread in a show that is otherwise so focused on people being generally great to each other.

Ron is such a stealth character in so many ways - he could SO EASILY be one-note and/or a walking cliche (bear of a man with a heart of gold) but they manage to skirt BOTH of those and make him this richly layered, fascinating character. And he's just one of MANY on the show. Even Andy has unexpected depths.

I love Andy and April TOGETHER

YES YES YES. I really adore their interactions and that is ALWAYS when I like them best (I am SO GLAD they finally moved on from him being creepy about Ann because I could not take another minute of that). I also was not sure about April becoming Ron's intern but the last scene of the episode where she DOES was SUPER AWESOME (slamming the door on Tom) that I suddenly saw how genius of an idea it was. I love everyone together and I suspect Ron Swanson makes everything a little better.

And then of course there's Leslie who is just...I just can't get over how the show CELEBRATES that she is AMAZING AT HER JOB - that episode where they all had to do what she does in one day made me SO FREAKING HAPPY. And she's FUNNY and she's goofy and she's sweet and she cares about people and she totally is a female, less-sad version of Fraser and I LOVE HER SO MUCH.
