Parks & Rec is delightful! It's like an injection of pure, uncut glee and happysighs (the first episodes are kind bumpy but it gets amazing, promise).

Tough it out past the first 4-6 eps. It's worth it!!!!

Yeah everyone warns about the first eps/season 1, but I keep hearing how CHEERFUL it is, and that is appealing.

Yeah, it's weird. It's like they didn't decide that Leslie was the hero of the show until after those few eps. Once they committed to her being awesome, it gets wonderful. The supporting cast is beyond adequate description, especially Ron Swanson.
