I'm so excited you're starting from the beginning of BoP! Gail Simone gets a lot of the credit for how great that book is--and rightly so--but Chuck Dixon gave them a hell of a start, and I very much appreciate that.

I'm really grateful you got me into comics fandom; it's been surprisingly fulfilling for the side of me that wants interesting female characters!

Awww. :( (Um, FWIW, if you're looking for a FREE pseudo-concert experience, I seriously cannot recommend the MCR show from the iTunes Festival highly enough. I just finished watching it and I am FLATTENED WITH AWE. Epic, electric show captured with beautiful camera work, even if it tends to gloss over important things like HUGGING OF BANDMATES/BROTHERS. Though at the end Gerard says, re: Mikey and Ray and Frank, "me and my three brothers are in a band called My Chemical Romance." Oh. MY HEART. And he says hello to Bandit and says that Frank's daughters are watching and Frank is wearing a homemade t-shirt with his daughters' initials on it and MY HEART. MY HEAAAAAART.)
