I want to get all my thoughts in order to properly talk about the show but that is so totally not happening, especially after "Fearless." I thought for sure once we saw Katrina that Fearless was going to be using Ray's plan (which, dude) to kill a guy from the Russian mob, but, no, the show once again pleasantly surprises me and takes something that could've been a shootout and makes it a stirring character moment. PLUS when Fearless keeps pushing Joel with "What if I had?" when they meet on the street after he leaves the molester's house (Rick Worthy, noes!) and Joel says, "I brought a shovel," I spontaneously started crying. I don't know either, you guys, but the last 10 minutes of that episode may be my favorite across all episodes so far. Wow. Love love love. Looooooooove.
"Home Invasion" was disturbing though not as bad as advertised - precisely, I think, because I knew going in it had the potential to be, so I'm happy not to have been totally traumatized by it.
The multi-episode plot with the corrupt cop was interesting and terribly sad for his partner and the other two cops that were killed. I am continually surprised by Ray and the way I respond to him, the roller coaster of finding him totally annoying and adorably heroic. He's a great character, as they all are now to me. McNorris' interactions with Chronic in "Execution" were really interesting - plus we got bonus Robert Wisdom! I actually found McNorris' standpoint of being against the death penalty surprising but a cool character note. I still love that McNorris' name is always 'David McNorris' and not just 'David.' It's very appropriate for him. Heh.
Thank you, show, for not totally jumping into the Joel/Teresa affair, too. They were setting it up so strongly, but I love that it's pulled back from the brink now and he and his wife both seem happy, even. I hope that holds out through the last two eps.
I want this show to go on foreeeeeeever and yet we only have two episodes left. I AM MAKING MANY SADFACES RIGHT NOW ABOUT THIS. OH SHOW. ♥ ♥ ♥
I need icons. I may have to suffer through capping with VLC again just to satisfy this urge.
I also realized that I missed
morgandawn's birthday yesterday! Happy belated birthday wishes to you!
I had an excellent fangirl- and yardwork-filled weekend (again! some more!) that I will not bore you with except to say that I forgot how very, very, very much I love Horatio and Archie and The Duchess and the Devil (YES THEY ARE IN PRISON - I have embraced my storytelling kinks at this point, okay?) and also
sadiane and
me-maneuver are adorable and totally sweet and can actually make a GOOD origami crane. I feel like I should've taken lessons from them.
Plus,
greensilver got me A FLOPPY HAT for the Puplet:
Okay. Off to finish work so I can attempt to make some Boomtown icons later this evening.
