I'm seriously debating handing over the reins to my fur site to a friend of mine, who's a web designer in a small company. She called the other day asking how I worked out my site's problems. Then we got to talking, and I asked how much would it cost to have her maintain it, and help build it.
She gave me a good rate, but then called again yesterday and had an offer for me. She said her boss would wave the fee, IF they can put on a link to their company as the maintainer. She told him, I'm a representative of a large fandom, and (of course you see this now) they're hoping it'll bring in more customers. They also do domain name brokerage. They haven't gotten to the point yet, of server housing though. That's a massive, and expensive start up.
This company is good, open minded, and honest. She's already at work on my personal/business one, and I'm thinking of asking my boss about her handling our company's site.
I don't know, but I'll think about it a bit more. I think what's more important, is the company, and my personal site at the moment.
