I had some professional pictures of Melissa and Russell taken. The sales guy asked me is Paul was Hungarian. I told him that Paul isn’t, his grandfather changed his name. But I am part Hungarian. The sales Rep. was Hungarian but his family came via Romania. I think he was the first sales guy to pronounce our last name correctly.
Paul’s grandpa moved from Russia to Hungary during one of the world wars. He was a hairdresser. No one could pronounce his last name, so they gave him a nickname. When he opened a salon he used his nickname as the name. Then the police came and said he couldn’t call his shop that because it wasn’t his real name, and it was the name of a noble family somewhere. So he had his name changed so he could use it as his shop’s name.
The sales guy was impressed that Russell was able to hold his head up at 3 weeks old. He was also impressed that he was able to stay awake for a lot of pictures.
I went to the doctor yesterday. In the doctors office I set Russell down in his car-seat/stroller. He pushed himself up with his feet. His knees were bent and he was partially reclined but I was surprised he was able to support so much weight.
