I have not thought of this in over 20 to 25 years, and I am not sure what made me think of it now. I was outside having a cigarette in the cold, when I suddenly remembered I used to love doing hand springs. I would start off running to build up speed and then I would put my hands down and walk on them as far as I could go until I toppled over. It was my thing to do. I could not do a cartwheel like all the other kids. I couldn't manage to let my feet go straight over my head, instead I would do a mock roundoff. Both my feet landing at the same time, but never going straight up in the air. But the hand spring? I was queen. Sometimes I could go for fifteen feet before I fell over. It all depended on my balance and speed. Now I think if I were to try that, I would probably break my wrists. That's sad. But anyway, hadn't thought about my hand springs in so long I thought I would share :)
