I've been doing this
Sorcery and Cecilia/
Mairelon the Magician (yes I linked to the Google preview - what better way for people to know what the book is like than to be able to read some of it)
crossover MST for a while now. I'm eleven chapters in and the next thirteen - I think it's thirteen - (going to check in the book) no, it's sixteen - sixteen chapters stretch before me like all eternity. I'm starting to think I should maybe find one of those character recognition software scanners at a Kinko's or something and just use that to speed up the recopying process as much as anything else.
Not that the recopying is taking up so much time. No, it's the commentary. The part where I have to make the comments by the characters new and funny and fresh with each chapters, and yet consistent and maintain running jokes and all those other things. And heck, I'm not eleven chapters into the book, just eleven into the fic. It's dreadful, really.
And I got my first review for the most recent chapter. "I'd almost given up on this," it said. If that doesn't tell you how slow the going is, I don't know what will. So I guess I will keep plugging away. But I do wish I could find things to write on this a little faster.
