Okay, well, 30 Rock just got me all hot and bothered by giving a nod to Silence of the Lambs. Somewhere, Jonathan Demme is wetting himself, thinking about the brilliance of that doorbell scene.
Before I get to my Thursday evening television run down, I have to share this photo that was part of Empire magazine's 20th anniversary issue (I know, these were posted forever ago and how did I miss them and yadda). The
whole gallery is great but...
AMAZEBALLS!!!
God, this is the first pairing that I ever thought to write a fanfiction about. Creepy and weird and oh-so-right.

Didn't do anything for me this week. It felt much like a Jackson Polluck painting, there was a purpose behind it, but things sort of just looked like they were ending up everywhere. I understand that Pierce's storyline was the 'A plot' but it wasn't nearly meaty enough.
I wonder, do the failures of Pierce the character fall on Chevy Chase, or on the writers; he is the least likable of the cast, and that has nothing to do with his disposition as a character for me.
Britta and Troy wigged me out so much; I hope they're not setting that up as a potential relationship. I've wracked my brain and there's no way I've found for that to work.
AWKWARD!!!
Parks and Recreation
I'm aware that there are many, many people out there that dislike this pairing but I am in LOVE with it. Ben and Leslie are entirely too cute for me, and when he asked her if he should stay or go (classic romantic comedy schtick, but I care not!) I died a little inside.
As far as episodes this season, this has been one of the best. A nice, well-rounded, whole cast episode. The 'B plot' was hilarious, though Rashida was completely outshined by Retta. That woman is fantastic; her dry, witty delivery of, "Are you Nell? From the movie Nell?" was perhaps one of the most well-timed, best-delivered lines of the episodes.
And April and Andy got married! I'm not sure if there were spoilers in regard to this, but I was genuinely surprised by this turn of events and found myself oddly thrilled for the fictional couple.
A few too many Leslie talking-heads, but otherwise, so delightful.
The Office
Predictable, uncomfortable, and though these are things that have come to embody this show for me, the thing I hate the most is not knowing how to process the episodes. I can't adequately put my review into words.
Damn you, Michael Scott.

Okay, well obviously the only thing I can think about is who is going to be the first person to write the fic about that time that Jack watch Liz "eat oysters while [she] had a cold."
michellek I am clearly looking DIRECTLY AT YOU.
Again, a lot of people are saying that this is a throwaway episode but uhm, hello there, Scott-Adist-storyline AND ROB RIGGLE IN IT. And a Jenna/Jack plot? I could do with more of those, seriously.
One of the faculty members noticed I was feeling a bit glum today, so he thought he'd show me something, "that will cheer [me] up."
He showed me this.
Yeah, that's Henry Ford receiving the Grand Service Cross of the Supreme Order of the German Eagle for being a super huge anti-Semitic. Don't know what about that screams "Happy Friday, better mood time!" but I thought, you know, I'd share with you that strange, strange story.
