First of all, check out Tim Thomas's stats. Haters hated on him when Tuukka Rask burst onto the scene, and I will kindly ask said haters to take a large step to the left and suck it.

Hah, oh man, it looks so cracktastic. I mean, I'll see it because the premise is so out there, of course.

I had mixed feelings about The Kids Are Alright because of the Julianne Moore/Mark Ruffalo affair, but I would say I liked it overall. I did think the acting was strong.

DONALD GLOVER. I am jealous.

The acting was certainly strong and Mark Ruffalo surprised me, it just really irks me that THIS is the breakout Hollywood film that everyone is seeing, and getting THIS impression of lesbians.

Honestly.

This may also because I have a bazillion friends who are lesbians and fought so HARD not to be offended by the movie. I don't know, but at least they all agreed that the acting was strong.

Not that that has any bearing on what I thought, but it was interesting to get their reactions.

I want to look as good in aviators and Julianne Moore always does, seriously, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT.

He was so cute, in his white tee shirt and skinny jeans, talking about the N-word and banging Armenian chicks.

Good times.

Also, I have un question for you when you have a chance. Regarding possibly checking on something I'm trying to write, because you're the keenest judge of Liz/Jack that I'm aware of and you're writing is BITCHIN.

And this comment is LOOOONG.

The end.

I feel like it gets too much credit for being 'different...' really, the only difference between this and a lot of older gay-themed movies, is that the lesbian couple stayed together instead of having the woman leave to be with the man/having one of them die. Part of me wants to applaud the idea of sexual fluidity, but this isn't a story about a bisexual woman, it's a story about a lesbian.

Anyway. I did like the movie, but still. It's problematic, and surprising, I think coming from a gay woman.

Aww, Donald.

Sure! Whatever you want to run by me/have me look at... :)

So, remember when Neal and Kate pretended to be cops and arrested Mozzie and then ripped off his toupee? HILARIOUS.

Anyway, I have seen exactly zero of the best picture noms. In fact, I have not actually been to the movies since Sex & the City 1 was out in theaters. Yeah.

I DO remember that, in fact. Good times, good times.

Now one for me. Remember when you got that job? YOU REMEMBER THAT!? (I am so happy and proud of you, I really am.)

Okay, so here's the thing, you and me get on G-Chat and I figure out some ways for you so see those movies, you get me? You get me!?

Jealous you get to see Donald Clover tomorrow!! You are so effing lucky!!

I've seen Inception, Black Swan, True Grit, and The Kids Are Alright...but not really sure how many of the others I really wanna see.

The Kids Are Alright really irked me too. I thougt Annette Benning was really supurb in it (and I'm usually not that big a fan)...the kids were interesting and the storyline could have been okay...except for the fact that it was made painfully clear that it's okay if yo@u're a lesbian, as long as you like dick too. :( The letting it be okay to be a lesbian (because you enjoy men too, so you're not totally icky) thing, made me seriously upset. Movie fail because of that...imho.

Donald was s wonderful. He got flustered at points and kept using the word 'like' and it was a little awkward, but whatever, because he was so funny. So funny.

Movie fail for The Kids Are Alright.

Thoughts on Black Swan? Because I wasn't a fan of it, almost at all. Thought Mila Kunis stole the show in that.

I know, Black Swan was just ehh to me...and everybody kept going on and on about it and seeing to so many times. I didn't really get why it was that great. I thought the ending was really one of the only interesting parts...which I just wrote a summary of and erased it because of how spoilery it was...because it really brought her issues to a bang of an ending. Mila Kunis was so much better in it than Natalie...but then again, I've always felt Nat was a little one note. *shrugs* Annette deserves the Oscar over her, imo.

I agree about The Kids are All Right. I liked the actors but it bothered me a bit.

I've actually seen most of the Oscar noms this year, I'm usually really behind because I wait for them to be released on DVD. I've seen 127 Hours, Black Swan, Inception, The Kids Are Alright, The Social Network, Toy Story 3 and Winter's Bone. The King's Speech is sitting on my harddrive.

I am sooo jealous you're seeing Donald Glover do stand-up. So jealous!

That film could have been so much better, I was truly disappointed.

I rewatched The King's Speech again today. It's on my top ten films ever list, now.

Donald talked about his penis a lot. I would say it was akward, but he's so damned adorable... kid was FUNNY.
