Good Times
Today was a good day.
I am now Fight Captaining for a show at Newton North High School. I get to work with a different fight director, danielgrayman, who is wonderful so far to work with. It is a totally new experience for me. He does what a Fight Director should do - takes fighters, choreos fights, and gives me the freedom to do my bit - drilling and teaching basic fight techniques. It is truely wonderful! And today kalisti23 helped out. After we ran drills and taught basics, she told me I was doing a good job. This was a huge compliment for me - I turely respect her opinion when it comes to anything, I know she speaks from a place of knowledge and makes her judgements fairely. I am very psyched now to work this show! I feel more competent and comfortable in my fight captaining ability.
When I got home, I found out my package had come in! Oh wonder of wonder! In said package waa a sewing miracle - 5 different lengths of wonderful boning (hey now I can finish my bodice), size 0 grommets and a setter (grommets including a supendous black color) and the best of all - Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion. Fun stuff. Now I am going to sew......
