KD Lang is singing one of my favorite songs, Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." I just added it to my soundtrack faves ... The ceremonies were quite lovely. Good job, Canada and Vancouver!

She's gorgeous. So damn powerful. Yes, I need to get the song too.

And kd was definitely NOT lip-synching!

Nope, not lip-synching at all. She was AWESOME. So kick-ass.

You know, I've forgotten how much I love the Winter Olympics. It's so much more fun than the Summer ones.

(Heh, Gretzky has people running after him as he's driven to the external Torch. These guys are crazy!)

I loved how it looked like some waiters had come out of a restaurant to run alongside (I saw one guy in an apron), however the whole time I kept thinking "security nightmare!" I soothed myself by imagining our Jane riding in on her horse to swoop Gretzky up and speed up the process.

I know! I hope the guy was on a smoke break and didn't just, like, leave people waiting for their food. But hey, it's Gretzky! If you're a die-hard hockey fan, you're a die-hard hockey fan :D

Jane would have totally charged to the rescue like a Mountie!

*happysigh* That was pretty damn awesome. I'm glad my sister turned the channel after all :)
