Irena Sendler saved 2,500 children from the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942-43

Alas, I haven't been able to watch Act 1 of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog yet. Something about only being available to Americans? Well, I'm sure somebody will get around that soon enough. *g*

In other news, I had the most disgusting McDonald's lunch today. Yeah, that pretty much cured me of going there... for at least a whole month! Eww.

ann1962 linked to an incredible website called Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Project. It started off as a school project by three girls researching the life of a Polish woman named Irena Sendler who saved 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942-43. It's an amazing story. You will be moved to tears.
