Wheaten Terrier
Went over to a friend's house for dinner last night, because an old high school friend is visiting from Halifax for the week. The hostess is a teacher at our old high school and it was great catching up on the gossip on former teachers and fellow students. She's recently bought a dog (finally, after a lifetime of wanting one) and it really is quite adorable. I'm generally not a dog fan but found this one to be cute and not annoying. It's a Wheaten Terrier, 11 weeks old, pure bred, and my friend is signing a contract that she won't neuter him. Apparently the breeders want him as a stud dog!
They haven't decided on a name for him yet, but they're wavering between "Dog" in Czech, "(Male Body Part)" in Czech, and "Dog" in English. With maybe "Puppy" thrown in as a nickname. (This is the friend who had a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a bird for years, and named them Rabbit, Guinea Pig aka Piggy, and Bird, respectively.) I suggested that they name him "Dog" in Cantonese. *g*
