Sorry, for not being clear, perhaps I should simply not have posted this question, because it shows how weird I am. ;) I was just curious if people would consider it a right or a privilege, that's all. It was only half serious, anyway.

The father of any given child can be one of the partners, but doesn't have to be, if you chose artificial inseminsation.

They do live in multi-generation "Kommunen", anyway.

The conflict arises from a feeling of superiority towards the "normal humans" that is growing in their society, and that some people have killed a woman who chose to become pregnant from a "normal human", because they considered her a "race traitor".

The subplot is not an in your face plot, but it's the motivation for some characters.

Okay, I do feel pretty silly now for posting a work-in-progress idea, but I'm not going to delete it. It would be coward.

Heheh - yes, originally, a privilegium is a right (to do the things of the kings: money making, creating markets, fishing, hunting etc). /the rambling medieval historian

I used it in the sense of structurally integrated advantage in a non-equal society. It's more or less based on the notion of male privilege, as shown in this checklist. There is a similary list for >a href="http://seamonkey.ed.asu.edu/~mcisaac/emc598ge/Unpacking.html">white privilege which I find very interesting and to a great part true.

Rights, I thought in the same vein as human rights.

But you "right", the words have more than one meaning.
