In addition, I have a question for a certain situation of my a bit more than just humanoid society in a pretty far future:
Premises: Monogamy does not exist. Everyone has different partners, male and female; at the same time 5-6, during the entire life, the average is 20. Sex is not only for reproduction; in fact, reproduction demands a specific choice, because of the contraceptive they use. What is marriage for us, is a contract to raise one or more children together for them.
The choice of the father is the absolute right of the mother, though her other partners or her parents (or their partners) can give her advice, but in the end, she is the one who decides.
One of the subplots of the stories is the fight for this right in new situations (when the father is not from their "race").
My question now is: would you consider this choice as a due right of a woman (who is the absolute owner of the reproductive organs) or a female privilege (because the father has no saying in that and the women decide how the future society will look.)?
I know it's a bit of an absurd question, but maybe an interesting mind game.
