P is for party.

The company 20th anniversary party was last night. The food was very good. Whole boiled lobsters (big ones too, at least 1.5 - 2 lbs each), lobster salad, steamers, mussels, corn of the cob, clam chowder, barbecued chicken, tenderloin, grilled vegetables, and a couple of different types of salad. Free beer and wine. Overall, it wasn't too bad as my snark-buddies were there to hang with. It would've been much better if I hadn't fucked up my knee during those "competitive" games.

They had [company name] 20th anniversary olympics. They had us broken up into teams to compete in ten "games". They were all pretty silly, like tossing washers into a cup, water balloon slingshot, assembling/disassembling one of our products, throwing frisbees, etc. The one I hurt myself one was really stupid. We had to take off our shoes and put them on a trampoline. Then in a relay, you had to run to the trampoline, get on it, put on your shoes then run back and tag the next person. As I got off the trampoline I landed wrong and hurt my knee. What's so stupid is I didn't jump off the trampoline; I sat on the edge and sort of slid off so I wouldn't hurt myself which obviously didn't work. *sigh* I was pretty much a spectator for my team for the rest of the events.

P is also for pain.

When I got home, my knee was swollen. It hurts when I bend it. It hurts when I fully extend it. I have it wrapped right now. Based on where the pain is located, I think it may be an ACL injury. I'm going to give it a couple of days of resting/icing/wrapping and if it doesn't improve, I'll go to the doctor.

and lastly, P is for pretty.

Have some blurry pictures of Callum from Davis Eick's video blog: Last Call.

ETA: katee8's caps came out much better.
