This is pretty much what the new Djinn does. ...Being, a normal melee attack but faster and with pretty lights.
It works well enough, though.

Oh, it's a town made of tree stumps.
...Given the fact that this little side-quest is centered around a tree that got mad because they were cutting down trees, there is no way that this could end badly for the townspeople. :|

I never really noticed that line before, and now I'm interested. Is it a lot harder for Ivan, seeing as he didn't come from a village of adepts like Isaac and Garet? Does he just not know any other way to use it without causing a lot of mental stress? AAAH, NOW I'M CURIOUS

Actually, I'm not going to lie, I love that they explain a common gameplay mechanic through plot elements. Especially since instead of just being like "LOL U HIT DEM HARD" they actually get lights that gather on their weapons during critical hits so they do look like spells so it really makes sense that it's a type of psynergy and ehaogeh

If you're wondering how I got here, there was a secret entrance behind that house that you get just by pressing down. HOORAY

This isn't a large cave at all, it just goes around in kind of a horseshoe pattern
And up the ladder on the other side!

This is actually a pretty useful skill, so I use it a lot. We'll leave it on Isaac for now, though.

Although, now that we have more than one Venus djinni, we get the level 2 summon! RAAAAAAAMSEEEEEEEEEEEES~ (THE MAN IN GAUZE THE MAN IN GAUZE)
RETURRRRRRRRRRN THE SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB
REEEEEEEEEETUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURNNN THEEEEEEEEEEE SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB
Well, when I summon Raaaaaamseeeeees~, it transports the enemies to a desert, the...pyramid robot then hits the ground and makes rocks fall from the...sky, and then punches it and it explodes.
EXCITING.
And this is what Granite does. It makes a wall. Huzzah.
