As Jacob sits on the damp sand his mind wonders to what could have been, but what he know could have never been.
Watching the setting sun in the plush maroon sky he knows his life is meant to be like this, for people to depend on him for safety.
He knows his solemn purpose in life is to protect the unknowing residents of Forks.
Sometimes being the protector is a burden, having the weight on his shoulder's.
But even though he would have liked his life to be different more like before.
