“Harry what are you doing?” Draco dropped his book on the sofa and stared up incredulously at his husband. It was their first Valentine’s Day together as a married couple but Harry had been called away on Ministry business. They’d had to cancel their plans so Draco was confused as to why his partner was suddenly standing there in front of him. Harry tugged at his smart black tie and padded across the room towards Draco, slipping off his shoes as he went.
“I told them to stuff their job if they wouldn’t let me go,” Harry grinned.
“Harry you can’t do that!” Draco wailed but suddenly there was Harry sitting on the sofa next to him, his finger pressed to his lips silencing him and he refused to not be happy to see him.
“I can Draco and I did, they’ll be alright about it I’m their famous hero Harry Potter after all,” Harry pressed his lips to Draco’s and they both smiled into the kiss, Harry wasn’t supposed to be back for a few more days. Draco pulled back and smiled softly at the dark haired man pressing him into the sofa.
“You’re my Harry Potter tonight,” He said and a blush rose on his cheeks, Draco really wasn’t used to making sappy gestures and comments and Harry adored him for it when he did.
“And you’re my Draco Malfoy for always; don’t you see? A job means nothing when compared to you. You’re all that matters to me,” Harry whispered desperately and pressed their lips together in a passionate kiss. Draco wrapped his arms around Harry’s neck and they sprawled out together on the sofa, their legs intertwined.
“I love you,” Harry gasped into Draco’s mouth and smiled when Draco stared back at him with glossy eyes.
“I love you too,” Draco whispered and ran his nose along Harry’s.
The fire burned down around them and illuminated the clothing thrown across the floor as they moved together on the couch.
