Hello e-world. It's been months since my last update, and this one is only going to be quick. I'm working on two essays for an exam in my literary theory class (hooray Plato and Alexander Pope!). Livejournal has always been the perfect procrastination tool.
Things are going well in my part of the world. Morgan has been back from Japan since mid-August (about a week after my last post), and though she now lives in the city while I'm in the burbs, we manage to find time to see one another. I'm still working in the accounting department of a small company (since September), which has been good for me, but I'm semi-actively searching for another job between work, school, and fun. Will it be a teaching job, you might ask? Alas, no. Though I did have a lot of fun in the past couple years, I've realized that high school teaching isn't the best place for me, and I do feel that my quality of life has improved (even if my paycheck has been reduced). It's unbelievably good and liberating to feel I have an identity separate from my job.
I was hoping to close with an amusing anecdote from my recent exploits, but none come to mind right now. Plato is all I can think about, which I type now and think to myself, "Wow, I never imagined myself saying that." I hope all is well with all of you, and I will try to update again before another five and a half months pass.
