(no subject)
Woot! padzor, dearbhloid and I are moving in together! To a cute little semi-detached house, wif a garden and roses and a spare bedroom :-) And we are very handy for both the delights of the Lisburn Road and Stranmillis Village. Wandered past today and was inordinately pleased by the name of two local restaraunts: Thai-tanic, and The Mad Hater. The second one is missing a 't' but I like it better with the current spelling.
We are living about 7 minutes from the Ashby building, which is where I work these days. Hurrah for short commutes.
We are moving out of the Margarita Plaza bratflat mid November - expect many stressed posts about moving. Nothing was wrong with the flat itself, more a case of feeling it was time to move on.
Some things I will miss:
* views from the 6th floor (but my office is on the 6th floor so I can't feel too sad)
* being just round the corner from the limelight and katy dalys
* our balcony
Some things I won't miss:
* noise from builders
* being taken for a woman of the night when walking home (only happened twice, but annoying)
* very limited space and no green
PhD goes excitingly busily. I have a graph, and am rather proud of it... I'm writing this from the office, where I finally managed to get someone to sort me out a PC. Huzzah!
