June Bug

How can one month be so so busy? And yet...I've watched far too much day time tv and also played far too much of rosco's playstation (oh sweet sweet final fantasy, how you tempt me so). This month I have went to two balls, cinderella has nothing on me really. The first was the physics ball where I was one of those pesky BAGs (boyfriends and girlfriends of physic nerds) with champagne and a lovely dress, we got to sit outside and talk and dance to the only two ceildih songs I know. It was a great great night. Between this and my own ball I found out my marks. Of course I got a 2:1 and was thoroughly pleased with myself, cat getting the cream, the early bird (ouch 8am morning study sessions) getting the worm, a pig rolling in shit (well some of that lecture material was pretty boring). My own grad ball was also good but in a different way, my year aren't as inbred as the Glasgow physics crowd, each person seems to only know two or three other people so I was a bit afraid about not speaking to anyone really. Luckily that wasn't the case as although I according to the above statement know two or three people, their friends knew two or three people so by the end of the night I was smearing some girls red lipstick on and posing with firemen after some eejit smoked inside causing a big alarm to sound.

We'll say nothing of my singing at bank street. I was a merry wee soul.

I've tried to apply to thousands of jobs, at least 10. AT LEAST. Mainly I've been getting the cold shoulder, anxiously waiting for them to turn me down or tell me "hmm maybe", anything more than my saddos email alert of "no new messages". Its mainly council style jobs, researchers for different initiatives or assistants to psychologists. Get your foot in the door and stub some toes! The only job I've heard back from is a call centre post in Bellshill, well we all have bills to pay, I apologise in advance if I have to call you up to sell you something.

Im now in my last month of my tenancy here in Bank street as well, trying to use up all of my food so when I move out I'm not carting 12 tins of baked beans with me as well. Also been testing Rosco's neverending quest for the perfect tomato sauce for pasta, its getting closer every time really. If the phd doesnt work out I can see him applying to do the F word with that housewife hunk Gordon Ramsey.

I drink lots of tea. I go on the internet. I write in a small paper journal again (which was a nice memory of my one year mark with a certain young man). I sleep too late. I still work in the jewellers.
