Here comes a weird entry, so don't say I didn't warn you:
I'm officially done with my first year of classes. Actually, I've been done for over a week now, but I've been relishing the time of laziness, so I haven't felt like writing a whole entry or anything before now. YAY!
Right now, in case you're wondering, I'm sitting on a futon in my brother's apartment, typing on my laptop (which I am holding on my knees, so the screen is at an amusing angle) and listening to Weezer while Matt sits next to me playing Shadow of the Colossus. I find the game pretty, but oddly sad. Everytime he kills a colossus, my heart half sinks. Meanwhile, "In the Garage" is playing, and I am enjoying the "I've got Kitty Pryde" lyric because she's always been my favorite X-Men character.
I'll be starting my externship next week or so. I'm going to be a judicial clerk at the 8th Judicial Circuit family law division, and from what I can ascertain so far, I'll probably be working on mediation and child support hearings. This feels like important stuff, and I don't feel prepared for it at all since I've only taken the basic, core classes that every 1L has to take. Also, I'll be wearing business suits to work, which strikes me as funny because it's like I'm playing dress-up and pretending that I know what's going on.
What else? Well, I think I'll be moving out of my bro's place and getting my own apartment in the Fall because apparently, I'm a messy roommate. Now, for those of you who saw my dorm room at the HC, or have been to my house and seen my bedroom there.... you know that this is a ridiculous concept. I am practically immaculatta. But, c'est la vie.
I need to find a place around here to horseback ride, too. I haven't done that in a long time, and I miss it. Cause horses are cool, and sometimes, they don't even mind when you put paper cones on their foreheads and pretend that they are unicorns.
I love my family so much.
I wish I could sing better, and I wish I had the ear to harmonize correctly on the first try.
That's about all for now.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
