Following the Rules
I'm updating my livejournal? Guess it's time for exams!
That's right, friends. Seems as though these days, the only time I think to post in this ol' thing is when I SHOULD be studying.
I'm pretty sure studying is overrated, though. That's what my future manager at McDonald's says.
Anywayz, here's a list of new things, because I don't feel like using too many words and because lists are a student's friends, for realz:
1) In case I didn't tell you yet, I'm staying in Gainesville for at least part of the summer, where I will be working as a judicial clerk for the 8th judicial circuit family law division. (Read: I'll be doing legal research/writing for someone else, who will then, as per legal tradition, take credit for the work as his own. Yay.)
2) Another good way to avoid studying is to play on Wikipedia. Can you berieve that the Honors College actually has an entry there? WTF? Did one of YOU do this?
3) Also HC related: Has anyone ever noticed that 'Dr. Drew' of "Loveline" 'fame' has a strikingly similar speech pattern/tone to that of the HC's own Kevin Lanning? Only cept Dr. Drew is about a gillion times hotter. No offense to Carol.
4) Yesterday (4/20/2006) was the last day of my first year classes. This sounds better than it actually is because, of course, the last day of classes is quickly followed up by the first day of exams. (And while one of our profs did bring us cookies, there was not a pot brownie in sight. The Bar apparently frowns on that sort of celebration.)
5) When did U2 change its name to Cold Play? I find this slightly disturbing.
