Yay, Tin Cup Prophette just released her first CD! We went to the release show last night, the boy picked up the album, and it's so beautiful. So beautiful. Lots of layered violin, xylophone, and gorgeous vocals. Here's a sample:

In fandom pimping, sadiekate posted Scattered Stars Like Constellations, a 12,000 word Logan/Weevil/Veronica. I don't know if I have words for the awesome that is this story. Not only is it filled with hot sex, but it's in character and emotional and funny, and everyone should read it.

Now I'm off to continue my zombie movie marathon. I'm trying to work on my zombieficathon story, but I decided that I needed to re-familiarize myself with zombie tropes and clichés for inspiration. Yesterday I watched The Evil Dead, which was fun. I was impressed with how much they did with such an obviously small budget. I particularly loved the sequence when the zombie decomposes in claymation. The world needs more claymation. Today it's Night of the Living Dead and maybe Dawn of the Dead. The boy will stay in the other room, occasionally emerging to wince and then leave again. He has no appreciation for the finer things in life.
