Writing down these goals (or even having them, in the first place!) is such a good idea. I need to think about it and do it in my journal, too.
By the way, I was recently in a book store and I saw some anthology (Spoken Revolution Redux, or something?) and I thumbed through it because Aaron Johnson was telling me about a TS Eliot Gangsta Rap piece ("The Eternal Footman is no one to fuck with"), that I wanted to read. I noticed a great list of contributors on the contents page. I was surprised to see Jeff Buckley's name (one of my FAVORITE recording artists) alongside people like Ted Kooser, so I had to turn to his page and see what he had in there. I thought it was way cool to see YOUR name on the very next page! Righteous.
