After driving in deep snow for four hours and arriving home at 4 A.M., guess what the last thing in the world I want to be doing? If you guessed spending an hour and a half shoveling a foot of snow out of my driveway just so I can make it to the garage, you are correct!
Played from 7:45 P.M. until the one and only game broke at 11:30. Made $172 against the worst players alive. I doubled with KK all-in before the flop when I got called by QQ. The rest was me bullying the short-handed table and catching a few flops, with one really nice three-barrel bluff.
Two hands of note.
1. Amazing donk #1 overcalls on the river. He has 42o, no pair. He justifies it by saying, "Well, it was only $6."
2. Uber-donk with about $450 in front of him raises the $2 BB to $17 after it's folded to him on the button. SB folds. BB goes all-in for $16 more. Not even a full raise. Button folds 33 face up. As I'm sitting there with my fucking jaw on the table, he says the most amazing thing I've ever heard at a poker table, "If you'd had more money, I would have called there. But I figured I was against two overcards and I didn't want to race."
Tell me these games aren't the best.
BTW, the roads, while snow-covered from start to finish, were just fine. I did about 50 all the way there, and I hit 60 most of the time coming back. People need to stop being such pussies in the winter.
I'm going to bed.
