Take a look at this excellent map from the National Weather Service. I'm in northeastern Mahoning County (it's the second one down in the northeast corner of Ohio). I drive out Route 80 to 79 North in PA. I take 79 North to 90 East in Erie, PA. I take 90 East for about 15 miles to 86 East and into New York. Once in New York, I get off at Exit 20. I think it's the third county in on the southwest corner of the state (but it might be the second).
When I look at it this way, the drive doesn't seem that bad. Of course, coming home might be another story.
