ESCARGOT Day 1

Jan 11, 2007 11:14

Sitting here in Russ's office about to leave for breakfast. Had a long day yesterday with the travel and everything, but all went well.

I arrived shortly after 11 A.M. and Russ picked me up at the airport. After a really nice lunch at one of Russ's favorite Italian places, we played a short 2-hour session of $100 NL at Hawaiian Gardens. I'd not played NL cash games in a while, and it showed. I dropped $54. Russ won over $300 and we had a great time, so all is well.

We ended up at CompUSA for a purchase of a router and a couple whips. Then we had to grab me a 12 of Diet Dew at the grocery, as I need it to live.

After much fiddling and experimenting, we finally got the router to work, and now I have a connection. I will say, Russ has absolutely no patience when it comes to things technical. He was on tilt within minutes of it not working. I found it a little humorous, but don't tell him.

This little Dell laptop my new job gave me, however, isn't nearly as good as my old one from my last job, so things are a little slower. But I can still get my email and everything, so it's good.

This entry has become boring. I'm off to eat. Much more to report tonight, I hope. We play the mixed PLH/PLO tournament at 7 P.M.
