Super 8 hype
The Super 8 trailer in front of Iron Man 2 is a Cloverfield prequel. No it's not. Yes it is. No, it's actually a sequel-prequel. No, it's totally unrelated. Wait, no it's a squeakuel. Nope, not related at all. That's what the papers said.
It just happens to be directed by the producer of Cloverfield, put together by the same production company as Cloverfield, uses the same cinema verite device as Cloverfield, sounds like the sort of sequel Abrams and company had in mind at the time of Cloverfield when one of the producers was quoted as saying "The creative team has fleshed out an entire backstory which, if we're lucky, we might get to explore in future films", and has Spielberg checking in for the ride as a full producer instead of just a guy with a few choice opinions like with Cloverfield. Pure coincidence.

Let me also state that Dead Snow, a nazi-zombie movie I'm fast-forwarding hrough as I type this, is exactly what's wrong with horror movies. I am firmly back to being unable to absorb zombieism on any level.
Also, Iron Man 2 is okay. Not as cool as the first one, but serviceable. Also, it references no less than four upcoming Marvel movies.
