Ryder Cup 2010 - Day One
So the Ryder Cup fired up this weekend. You know from previous entries that I taught myself how to play golf by watching the Ryder Cup one day, so I have an affection for this once-every-two-years contest. I managed to catch a bit of it during lunch.
The U.S. is leading! Yay! But the first round didn't finish because of rain, so it's catch-up tomorrow. Boo! They've got a LOT of catch-up. The round will start again at 3 AM EST. Ouch! If I wasn't having surgery in the morning, I'd stay up and watch it (I think I can get it). otherwise, I'll just be laid up being a pussy on the couch watching it all weekend. OH DARN.
While a Monday push seems like a foregone conclusion, the game ends on Monday, period. They won't extend it to Tuesday. Which means if weather keeps acting a fool, the cup could go to a team that didn't actually finish playing. Zoinks! Fix that, son. You only play it every other year. I'm okay with having it earlier.
In other news, Cheyenne Woods is still finer than a motherfucker.
