update? What is that thing you speak of called an update?
I tend to forget to put anything here and default to my other LJ. This one gets neglected. :(
Work is good. I do education research and there's been an issue with IT uploading the numbers into the system. Because of that, I've been doing a lot of waiting around. One project may have to be scrapped entirely. I am enjoying what I do, though, and our little department of 6 people is doing pretty well.
We went to Atlanta for a wedding last Friday and made the huge mistake of leaving at 1pm our time. We hit Atlanta at 4pm and what should have taken 3 hours (not including the time change) took 5 1/2. Miserable drive. I'd rather gnaw off my own arm than do that again. I bitched about it on FB, which I probably shouldn't have, and my nephew called me out on it. Oops. LOL!
My eating choices have been shit. Starting tomorrow, I have to get back off the bad carbs and hit the high protien train as hard as I can. I can't afford to buy new clothes. Gotta stay in the ones I own. Between tailgates and weddings and wine tastings, it's just HARD.
The wine store is still doing well. Even in tough times, people gotta drink. The retail life is hard on Scotty, but...it is what it is, and most days he's happy we took the plunge.
Fandom-wise, I'm not doing much. I had said I would start writing again, but I have no time. None. I'm so glad I decided not to do Yuletide. There's just no way I could have squeezed anything out. I may try to revamp some old stories and toss them up on A03. One is ready to go, I just need to format it and fling it up there. Another is halfway done. A third just needs a bit of editing. Old stories make me cringe, though, so I bet I end up just redoing the whole thing. I am still roleplaying in LOTR fandom and really enjoying it. Nerds r us. LOL
