So now I am typing with one hand. When I get fed up, this message might just end for no reason...
Had my surgery for my left arm on Oct. 13th, had have been out of work since. It was hurting for a few days, but now hurts randomly. So all should be good and I'll be back off to work in a couple of days, and walking the Magic Kingdom with a sling on for a few weeks. You would think that breaks "the Disney Look", but it does not.
Thank goodness that my parents were in from MI last week. They planned on a vacation, but ended up playing Florance Nightingale for their fun... between my gimpiness, and Jen being pregnant with the most god-awful virus of some sort ever (she could not eat normally for a good 6 plus days), it helped a lot. Too bad the vacation house that they rented had the worst beds ever inside... because sleeping sucked too.
With all of this going on... we also found out what baby #2 is going to be... here it comes... drums rolling... Brendan is going to have a little brother! Yep... we saw Mr. Winkie!!! Which is cool... because we have so many boy things right now, that we don't have to do too much shopping. Plus, I don't have to guard the front door with my Pit Bull and shotgun in 15 years or so... when boys would sniffing around, looking to go out with my daughter. But a girl would have been nice too... someone to go shopping with Mom and scrapbooking too... plus Jen was hoping for an excuse to go buy
Strawberry Shortcake things...
Then to top it all off... we made it through yet another
hurricane. South and East of us got it pretty bad, including our summer vacation spot of
Marco Island. Our mango tree in our backyard has now been bent too... it is not out of the ground, but it is not standing upright either. My neighbor was willing to help put it back up, but I already grateful for his help. When he saw that I had surgery, he cut my lawn for me. He's actually from down river in MI, so I am thinking of getting him some of
these to say "thanks!"...
And now... it is actually 50 degrees outside right now... ah, Fall is actually here in FL!
