A NEW ENDING - PART FOUR

Jun 22, 2005 22:01

Saturday began for me at 3 or so in the morning after we saw Batman. It then began again around 11:30 b/c I had to finish packing stuff up. As a favor to Melissa, that ended up benefiting us boys greatly, I brought my PS2 to the party. Then around 1pm, everything seemed a go. Except for our driver. So while Gio got ready, I picked up Ernesto and informed Erin of the delay. After 2, we finally took off for Erin's. Then after stops at a Wells Fargo bank and a Costco gas station, we were on our way...

...into traffic. It was in the strangest places too. So much for arriving early and checking out the beaches. Oh well. Next time. We ended up at the party around 4:30. Lots of food I've never heard of/seen before. Some of it was pretty good, especially Melissa's messup desert thing. Wasn't so much a messup after all, just really, really sweet. Heheh. Hey Melissa! "You're sweet."

Anyway, after hanging out for a little while, we set up the PS2 in the computer room and we played Burnout and a Street Fighter game Eugene had. After he left, it was back to Burnout. That game is awesome, even if I'm not the best at it. After awhile, I took a break and hung out with Melissa and Erin, and then later on went back. Toward the end of the night, long after everybody left, Melissa opened up all the stuff she got. Surprisingly, she thought my handwriting wasn't too sloppy even though I told her I wrote the card in the car. Good enough. And the card still had the good effect I was going for. Turns out, its the one she actually gave Marissa. That's interesting. Great minds think alike I guess.

As for the condition of the drive down there, thanks for driving Gio... But now, there is another who knows the dangers that lie in taking such a road. I leaned over and told Erin before we started that it might be a good time to become religious. It was a joke, but we weren't laughing later. In hindsight, that actually makes it a little more funny. To quote Jerry Seinfeld, "It's all a huge joke. IT'S YOUR LIFE! And somehow it's all happening on TV there, it's all not quite real."

After she opened her stuff, or rather during, I was taking pictures, some of which will be on here later. Apparently, Erin, Ernesto and Gio thought me vain for taking pics of myself. Wasn't trying to be. I was just trying to get a good Superman pose. Still working on it. Funny how though when I was shooting random stuff, I panned the room and held down the button. I ended up with a money shot of Ernesto. Oopsy. Needless to say, that pic was promptly deleted.

We finally left SD around 12:40 and got back to Erin's around 1:50. Gio shaved 16 minutes off the journey. Very interesting. After dropping off Erin, we headed for Denny's, where I finally got pancakes, which I've wanted for awhile. Could've been better though. Oh well, next time.

Then, later that morning, I had to go to church. I decided against it and went later. Uncle Frank, Andy and Victor came over and we has Los Sanchez to eat. Big yum. I showed off Burnout, went to church at St. Katherine's (awesome church), and then raced against Andy for a couple of hours, before he went home.

Which brings us now to Wednesday night. I now have a pouch for my camera [its red ;-) ], 3 more star trek movies, the x-files movie, and the batman begins soundtrack (which i couldn't find anywhere for awhile). I have 4 more days of work, and my Uncle's birthday. Andy is off to Hawaii. Melissa is in Europe. Erin's headed... north, for lack of better words. And next week, I have my own destination ahead of me. War of the Worlds and Fantastic 4 is coming out soon. And there's other stuff, both known and unknown, that is going to happen. Looks like with the end of college comes the beginning of something else after all. Good times. Like in the song by Semisonic, "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

So let the good times continue...

Pictures:

Better pic of me and Kelly... even though her eyes are darker than they should be.

My People at Graduation FOUND!!!

SAN DIEGO STUFF:

The Group still at Melissa's House around 11:30 at night. UCR People (John, Melissa, Erin, Lynell, Me, and Ernesto) + Gio.

Random pic of John, Ernesto and Gio.

Cool pic of Erin. On I was actually allowed to take. ;-)

Cool pic of Melissa w/ Lynell in the background.

Melissa's high school friend Jennifer. The line across her must be from the table when the flash went off.

Me, complete w/ Superman shirt.

Superman pose. NOT vanity.

I can't tell if Gio's punching Ernesto, or is about to bite him...

Awesome painting over Melissa's fireplace. And the only waves we saw that day.

That Bear sure has a big phone.

I used my centering power on Erin, but accidentally cut half of my face out of it. I think her version of this pic has her cut-off halfway. Oh well. It still works, more or less.

Erin and I made our own contributions to this cool pic of Ernesto. Mind you, all these pics are being taken while Gio's driving us back. ;-)

An example of Gio's driving by the 15-215 interchange: "When this baby hits 88 miles an hour..."

"....you're gonna see some serious sh!t!"

Another example. =-)
