Quilt by Donna E Smyth
BookCrossing - bookray - AnglersRest
Rating - 8/10
From the back of the book:
The quilt which the novel takes as its title draws together a special Canadian story, the story of a small group of people in rural Nova Scotia. Hazel, Sam & a handful of women who piece together a quilt for a local raffle confront an unusual tragedy in their community - a tragedy that lays bare the raw plight of a battered wife in their midst.
I enjoyed the way the book was written, I could hear the characters talk/think as I read, it lead me through the book & I felt it was evocative of the women & Nova Scotia. I found the men well drawn also.
