So many things...
Warning: Really long post.
Well, once again it has been a while since my last update. Here are a few thoughts and news bits:
-Kyle left for Syracuse, NY today to start a chemistry internship. I'll miss him over the summer greatly.
-Siobhan Bremer, my theatre professor has cancer. It's so damn sad. I'm going to send her a card.
-I've seen Emily twice already this summer. They have been good visits (one to St. Paul, one for Em to New Ulm). She's really something. I have to say one of my favorite things is just hearing her voice. So, maybe being away from her and only using the phone won't be so bad. I've done this long distance thing before, so I know what to expect. We both miss each other an awful lot, but that's part of being in love, I guess. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. How true.
-I really want comic books. After reading Kiel's copy of Conan: The Frost Giant's Daughter and Other Stories, I've found myself searching online everyday for trade paperbacks. Here's a short list of the ones I want:
+ WildC.A.T.s (Classic. The first comic book I really got into. Basically your average gang of superheroes not unlike JLA, JSA, X-men, Fantastic Four, etc.)
+ 100 Bullets (Some guy gives people 100 untracable bullets and an untracable gun to get revenge on whoever they want to)
+ Hellboy (any and all... I've read The Chained Coffin already...)
+ Transmetropolitan (Looks very interesting... it's about a gonzo journalist in the future... neato)
+ The Losers (ex-black ops got fucked and want revenge... sweet shit, I've read one TPB already)
+ Y: The Last Man (not some fancy title... Yorick is actually the LAST man, I'm reading the 1st trade paperback right now, I got it from the Public Library)
-I'm reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The English Patient at the same time.
-I'm working shifts at 3M. Just got done with my week and weekend on midnights. Monday brings in the afternoon duties for me.
-I ordered 3 books on amazon.com today.
-I bought Common's new CD and 2Mex's. I look forward to the new White Stripes CD (out Tuesday).
-The French Open finals are amazing.
-I want the season DVD of the Adventures of Pete and Pete. Best Buy was all out when I went to Mankato to get it.
-I bought my plane ticket for Ireland a while back. Maybe two weeks or so ago. Spendy, but it'll be worth it. Maybe my credit limit will even raise out of the deal. Haha.
Enough for now. Sorry about the extended post. Few will read, but that's ok. I just wanted to toss some things into writing. I'll update again soon, I'm sure. Livejournal turns into my summer "thing."
