working at the ag center!
So don't have to take ANY math in college.
HORRAAAAY. [beeeer. LOL red stripe]
Turns out, i tested out of my College Alegbra class with my Math ACT score. And all i had left was to fullfill an anlytical reasoning credit, which in english means a variety of math fillers. Statistics happens to be included in the list of classes that fall in that category, and i tested out of that.....so NO MATH! I've already dropped my trig class and replaced it with an anthropology class. yay!
So I started my new job yesterday.
I work at the Agriculture Center at LSU in the design studio. i thought i'd be working on publications and designs and all that good stuff, but i can't until 2nd semester, because they have to train me. So until then, I am their slave that does everything they say. Its not as bad as it sounds, I get an hour lunch, get to leave at 4:30, wear whatever i want, and (the best part) its air conditioned. all the time.
Example of the labor i've been doing.
I spent 3 hours this morning shrink wrapping 700 Agriculture magazines into various amounts to be delivered to places all over BR. Problem: the shrink wrap machine is like every other machine and HATES me. It worked perfectly for the Communications Derictor, Chelsea, but not for me. When I'd do it, the plastic would shrink too much and rip at the top, causing the magazines to fall out. i ended up shrink wrapping each pack of magazines atleast twice.
but yeah. I LOVE MY JOB.
the people are nice.
the design team went to a luncheon that I wasn't invited to because I started yesterday, so I'm ALONE IN THE STUDIO, until 1:30. NO WORK. I hooked up my MP3 player to the computer speakers and i'm jamming and the room is way in the back of the building, so i don't have to worry about disturbing anyone!
