hey dude, i'm sorry about your consultation. although, you're right in stating that she should of been upfront with her requirements from the get-go, it is again her ass on the line. it sucks that getting your body altered in a way that isn't fully understood leads to people questioning your emotional stability. especially when you can get fat sucked anywhere else on your body and it's not typically an issue.
my surgeon was a hassle too, if it's any consolation to you. she wanted the letter to specify exactly 3 months of therapy and that i was trans etc. she also didn't notify me upfront, instead her nurse just forgot to mention it when I was serious about choosing her. so need less to say, my therapist had to write several letters and addendum's in order to be approved-which pushed my surgery way back than what I had anticipated.
I know it's rough to hold out and be accused of not being prepared, after all who are they to judge right? But i'm sure you'll find the right surgeon and the right time for all good to happen. Your job should allow you some recuperation time I assume for a medical procedure. Take care and good luck
