Minievent: The City Protests! Day Two
The rally is already in progress by the time you first enter the town square. Ask around, and you may even hear that it continued all night - in some form.
That may be why tempers are running so high today. Perhaps it is the heat - which is oppressive today. Either way, the protesters chanting, discussion deteriorating into shouting matches, and verbal rage escalating into violence.
Be careful on the streets, today.
[ooc notes: (reposted from yesterday!) The rally continues. It's more of the same... but outside the rally itself, hostility grows. At this point, it's fair to assume that some fringe groups of natives will become violent - there can be property damage, egging, even outright violence.
The rally will end on Saturday night, with the appearance of an NPC some of have seen before. After that, things begin to simmer down, but for the next week or so you can assume there is still some lingering tension in the air... and even after that, the tension can be assumed to have gone below the surface, rather than having disappeared entirely.]
