You could say it's a mixture of both. I like to read stories from other worlds to the children here. It keeps their spirits up, especially in dark times like these.
[Johan laughs, very quietly, almost inaudible really, and only for a second or two.]
Of course I wouldn't tell them that story. It's not a very optimistic plot.

I've been doing very well. The locals aren't equally hostile to everyone, after all. It depends on how you approach them.

[In fact, he's almost entirely sure that Light Yagami is far more intelligent than he actively lets on. That wouldn't be remarkable, except that he also seems a little haughty. The mix is definitely... unique.]
Matters of crime and law can be so complicated. At home, I was a law student, so I know a little bit about it at least.
