[She should get a desk. It would be practical - and good for writing purposes, and while it's not the most friendly and laid back type of room layout in the world - that whole high school guidance counselor thing where you're sitting at a desk and they're sitting at a desk, except on the other side - but it's workable, and it makes notetaking seriously easier.]

[But as it happens, she doesn't have one. Just a Relaxy Chair (which, in fairness, is way more comfortable for taking clients than an office chair she can think of) and a sofa thing, and a fireplace and a shelf full of books she never reads. She has them there, really, for appearances - fill a shelf with books people think, here is a person who reads technical manuals! And then they think you know what you're doing. Not that she doesn't know what she's doing. After all, she's been doing this for... months. Multiple ones. And apparently isn't so horrible at it that people avoid her and her funny talk. In fact, one could even say that Buffy, by and large, is all booked up.]

[Except for right now. In fact, right now, just for the moment, she is lacking in clients. It's an open session, you could say. One of those "come in if you need help and I will totally be available" types of moments. And so she finds herself fiddling with a cup of pencils she keeps by her totally comfortable chair, writing her date auction intro in her own head, when the door opens.]

[Client-time! Buffy nearly knocks her pencils over in her rush to be way professional looking, and she's already getting into therapy girl mode when she looks up and sees...]

[Well. That is definitely unexpected.]
