Late Evening: Dragon's Roar

[She's been strangely all right with the stench abovedeck, and not the least bit unnerved by the Victoria's ghastly crew. Doesn't venture below if she can help it - she's far too interested by the mist that surrounds them. Haughtily standing at the rail's edge and looking into the sky.]

[ Tonks stands near the mast.

It's not her choice that Bellatrix is here. She'd rather the woman be back at the Clinic or better yet, in a cell while they're away. Bellatrix isn't safe, she's not. Tonks is convinced.

So while she can't send Bellatrix back, Tonks is going to do the next best thing. She's not going to let Bellatrix out of her sight. ]

[A curious look and all the frowns, ever.]

Are you, too, waiting for it to make itself known, or is there something else, Nymphadora?

[She doesn't like how wary you look. But the hardness in your eyes is a comfort - until she realizes it's directed at her.]

We are headed straight into trouble, niece.

[And her gaze is elsewhere - back at the sky.]

It wouldn't do any good. You'd just come back again.

And if I didn't, you'd sleep very well, wouldn't you? [There's a small measure of question, of truth, and just as much of it is button-pushing.] Will it be enough if I die there?

[A nod toward their destination - and the fire on the sea.]

Perhaps that's why you're here, trailing after me to bear witness as I burn, burn burn.

I don't often sleep well at all, to tell you the truth.

[ You are pushing all the buttons, Bellatrix, all of them. The nightmares have mostly faded but every now and then, she has use of the Dreamless Sleep potion. ]

[ For a moment, she feels conflicted. Tonks even flinches. ]

I'm not sure what's going on with your wand.

[ It's not an exact lie. ]

[ oh is that--? he jogs over to where Bellatrix is standing, and then stops next to her, shoving his hands into his pockets. ]

[Slow motion turn, followed up by a look. It could be displeasure at being interrupted.]
