The man that had been running the apartments glared at him when Kira walked past and out the door, not bothering to check if it might close on its own. Frankly, he didn't care. There were other things he could be doing. Such as getting the hell out of this strange place.
And it was a strange place indeed. Kira paused in his steps, one hand in the pockets of the long, black trenchcoat he was wearing, the other holding his katana, Shiranui. Annoyingly big place, wasn't it? Now, where to? Fuck, this place looked huge. How had he gotten in here? The man had grudgingly talked about some Door or another before he'd stopped being useful, warning him that it wouldn't do any good. Wasn't going to stop Kira from checking the place out. ... Though he'd need to find it first, wouldn't he? Goddamnit.
Well, he wasn't about to just ask someone either. He didn't like the looks most of the people he saw were giving him. Well, whatever, if he wandered around enough, he was bound to find something, right? Sure. It wasn't like he had anything else he could do.
