Who: lumenrelegandus and thenobledie
When: August 28th, evening
Where: Duncan's pub
Format: Prose is probably more appropriate, but guess who is forever lazy... (Hint: it's not Merry.)
What: Lust (no, not the one with the nice rack) affects Shirley in an unusual way, and she ain't fighting it. Lupin is...idk, Lupin?? LOOK, THEY ARE GONNA TALK.
Warnings: n/a

[ shirley had been straightforward in her note of a time and place to meet. why she hadn't used the forge, instead of one of the clinic's staff passing it to him, is a bit of mystery - she understands personal inboxes well enough now, but then again, lilly can explain as much as she likes; shirley still doesn't see their point, practical as they are. of course, this is the same woman that just doesn't like being disturbed...

anyway, she is sitting in the back of the pub with a glass of amber liquid on the rocks. her usual poison is brandy, but this isn't brandy. (no, it's whiskey. what can she say? she's a hard liquor kind of gal.) she's staring down at her glass, untouched, and usually, some comment about "LIKE IT HOLDS THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE~~~" follows, but hey, she already has those. she could do without them most days, really.

which is why shirley is here. hades is gone, and rose has never been here; there isn't anyone left who understands, and lupin can't. not really. but he can listen, and he can learn, and that will lead to something that is a little less lonely, a little less hopeless, a little less...whatever she has been doing for the past eleven thousand years. she can't say she knows anymore - it seems good, this instance of the mist affecting her. the last instance may have been, too; she hasn't decided, but...she doesn't care to, either. so she doesn't fight it. she thought on what to do, long and hard, and that's how she always considers something when she takes the moment to.

this is for the best. ]
