He did hope Angel met their rendezvous, however. The man was supposed to be paying rent soon.

But all of this aside, Sebastian was snooping outside the main tent as well. His demonic senses are as static-y as any Forge broadcast would be from this far into the Mist, but he doesn't THINK those things are human. He retreats, only realise something he missed during his eavesdropping: he's not alone out here. This presence is - human, yes (human-ish? Oldish, a touch of ancient something - this is familiar why can't he place it?) - and the breathing sounds female and also familiar. But it's not until he's nearly on top of her that he recognises her.]
Miss Summers.
[Sssshhh, he's being very quiet, because they can't be spotted. In fact, she shouldn't be out here at all, she should be somewhere Dawnish worrying about push up bras - no, now is not the time for that either-]
We must leave. It's not safe here.
[Because obviously she's also had to escape from one of those cages - an impressive feat all on her own, someone who couldn't steal gel pens from rats only months ago - and he's known as her friend, so it would only be proper - aesthetics, must remember aesthetics - to come to her rescue.
And really, there's only one way to do this. The way he's saved Ciel from so many horrors: picking her right up off the ground, a bit like a groom carrying a bride over the threshold of their new house, fully intending to whisk her away.
It's just. His balance. It's not so good, and he's forgotten this already, his mind being so sluggish. So as soon as he picks her up he's listing to the side and now he's tripping over a rock and-
Oh dear, this isn't how he planned for this to go at all.]

[Dirt. In her mouth. But she's not taking the time to spit it out before she is picking him up off the ground and booking it a few feet. There's a broken piece of whatsit out here, and more shadows than she can count.
Hell, it's all shadow.
And Mist.]
No. It's not safe! That's why I-m---
What are you---why are you---
You're all slumpy.

His heel is dragging into the ground. That's slowing them down.
-Oh and now he's upright again. Kind of. No, he's sitting because his legs don't feel so strong very suddenly. This is a rock. Or a ruined bit of machinery, he's not really sure. What the hell does SLUMPY mean? Oh, no matter, it's a rather accurate description of how he feels, actually.]
And you are - [Wait, volume control.] Much stronger than you look, Miss Summers.
[He slides off the possible rock and pulls himself into a crouch behind it, which makes him feel more balanced than just sitting, which might be odd to Dawn, but. Oh well. He peers over it in the direction from which they've stumbled.]
They're sure to have heard that. We should leave while we still have a chance. How did you escape the cages?
[Because she can't have just wandered out this far into the Mist by herself, certainly. Even with hidden Finny strength.]

Shhh!!!
I know. It's a Summers thing, I think. A sister thing. A slayer thing and not a key thi---
---nevermind.
[Looking back over her shoulder. The shadows just keep moving, even when they shouldn't. It's hard to tell what's real. And on that note she's peering at Sebastian. He doesn't look fake, but he's all floppy and crouchy and now he wants to go back.]
We can't just leave them. I-is that what you're telling me to do? Are you made of mist?
[Poke.]
And I didn't. Escape. I found them. You, I mean. You guys. This place.
I was looking for Buffy.
[And not just Buffy, but that's a start.]

...And now she's poking him. He narrows his eyes at her, almost lethally.]
I am not made of mist. I am telling you circumstances are exceedingly dangerous. If we return and are captured, they will-
[Wait, is she saying she DID wander out all the way here by herself? Sebastian tilts his head incredulously.]
Your sister.
[Human loyalty at its finest. Sebastian isn't in the mood its suicidal nature amusing right now, however.]
I did not see her. It's possible she has already been devoured.
[Not to alarm you or anything. But they're EATING PEOPLE which is why broody Angel man is going to free the other captives and Sebastian is investigating the rest of the place. Because with this toxin in him it's very possible he too could fall victim to such a fate and he likes living a lot, thank you very much.]
