The park was lit up by lights and of course the stars that night. Tents were pitched up where refreshments and food were served. Tables and chairs were scattered throughout the space and

[Quorra hasn't bothered with a mask or a dress. Instead? She's just wearing her usual light suit and her helmet. Which is going to make eating and drinking difficult, but it will definitely preserve the mystery until the end of the night.

Nobody can see it, but she's grinning behind the black opaque surface as she watches the goings-on. She wanders about, swinging her arms with barely-contained energy as she admires the park, its lights and decorations and the people in all their finery.]

[Quorra is hard to miss in the crowd, given how modern she looks in comparison to many of the others. And those glowing lines of her light suit in particular draw Rex's attention almost immediately.]

You are totally rockin' that suit and it looks ever cooler in person. You've probably got the most awesome gear at this party.

[Quorra turns, and the helmet looks at him impassively. Behind it, she's smiling, because she recognizes him.]

Thanks. [The helm also distorts her voice, making it sound deeper, more mechanical, and a touch metallic.] I like your mask. How many computer and watch parts did you derezz to make that thing? [Her laugh is tinny, but genuine.]

[His eyes widen just a fraction at the sound of her distorted voice. Not what he was expecting!]

Er, thanks. I managed to find work with a few of the locals and they agreed to help me find parts for the project. Plus with the city getting trashed recently, there was a lot of scrap out that was easy to find and claim.

[Amused by his expression, Quorra's invisible grin widens, and the helmet nods.]

I wish I'd thought of that.

[Odd as her voice is with the helmet on, Rex regains his composure and settles back into his cool, collected state. This party could be better, but he's more or less enjoying himself. Being there is certainly better than fighting monsters in the streets.]

So what do you think of Anatole so far? Aside from it being strange, anyway.
